We've been working in the loan brokerage space since 1999 and we've tried all sorts of different ways of connecting consumers with lenders that best match their personal circumstances. Some of our ideas were wildly successful and were used by hundreds of thousands of consumers each year, others, were not so great. We've taken the best bits of everything that we've worked on since 1999 and put them all together to create Loanfinder.co.uk, a free, easy to use, comparison and search tool and a truly unique legacy to UK consumers.
We think it's important that you understand how our website works. Loanfinder.co.uk is a database of every active lender in the UK; the wikipedia of loans, a library of lending products. But what we can't promise is to be perfect. Use this information at your own discretion, we do our absolute best to make sure that the information on the site is accurate at all times, but we can't be held responsible if it's not always 100%spot on.
Our library of lenders is continuously curated by our dedicated research team, who scour the UK looking for the latest deals from right across the market. The process takes about a month, so it's possible at times that the information might not be as up to date as we'd like it to be. Loanfinder.co.uk contains hundreds of real−life consumer reviews of lending products, to give you a genuine account of what it's like to be a customer of the lender you choose. Remember, anyone can review any product, so it's important to bear in mind that the views expressed do not constitute financial advice and we always recommend that you do your own research on top of what you find on our site so that you can make an informed decision. Loanfinder.co.uk doesn't charge any fees or subscriptions. Loanfinder.co.uk doesn't allow advertising and companies can't pay to appear on the site. We don't accept payments from any lender to change the content of a review, or to write something wonderful about them and (although we're not allowed to say for legal reasons) we believe that Loanfinder.co.uk is truly impartial and independent.
It does however cost us money to provide the service for you. We've got some pretty funky servers with blue flashy lights that ensure a speedy delivery of the web content for you. We also have to fuel the research team with loads of tea and biscuits, otherwise they get a little furious. So what we will do, is wherever possible we will use affiliate links. Affiliate links look exactly the same as normal links, but when somebody clicks on them, the site can earn a little bit of money. Sometimes we get paid for the click, sometimes for when an application is made on a lender's website and sometimes when a loan is paid to a customer. We will NEVER let any money we get paid affect the information on our site.
